Music

At Second Presbyterian Church we welcome your gifts and promise to find ways for you to share your love of music with others in meaningful ways. From the youngest in years to the young at heart, choral, instrumental and ensemble opportunities await those willing and ready to serve God in song.

Our congregation has three choirs, seven bell ensembles, and many opportunities for instrumentalists of every age and ability. We make music all year round at Second Presbyterian Church. Let us help you find a place for you to share your talents!

The music ministry of Second Presbyterian Church affords many opportunities for our members and friends to be involved. Our primary focus is on the preparation of music that is shared during our three weekly worship services. In addition, these musical groups provide a wonderful place for musical learning, fellowship and Christian nurture.

The music staff for 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services includes Dr. Bevan Keating, Director of Music and the Arts; Mary Ibis, Associate Director of Music; and Adam Savacool, Organist. For more information, please contact Bevan (bevankeating@secondpreslr.org) or Mary (maryibis@secondpreslr.org) by email or by calling (501) 227-0000.

Nine o’clock worship music is coordinated by Sarah Jane Guzman. This group includes volunteer musicians, both singers and instrumentalists. Group rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings. If you’re interested in joining the group or would like more information please contact Sarah Jane by email at sarahguzman@secondpreslr.org.
