It’s important to have fun together, but the church strives to offer a unique gift: time set apart to discuss and dig into the faith we share. Young Adults have a few different ways to explore the big questions. Connections anchors the faith-formation aspect of our ministry. The Young Adult ministry also occasionally provides special events, such as book clubs, marriage enrichment, parenting classes, and retreats.

This class is designed to help young adults grow in faith and bond together through Bible studies, outreach projects, social events and participating as a group in ongoing church projects. During the four Sundays in March, Alan Diekman, PhD will lead a presentation and discussion on “Science and the Bible.†The class will consider our response as Christians when science and scripture are seemingly in contradiction. Multiple scientific theories will be discussed, with the major focus on the theory of evolution and the biblical creation stories. Dr. Diekman is a Presbyterian Elder and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UAMS.

Younger Men’s Bible Study
Thursdays • 7:00–8:00 a.m.
Rosalia’s Bakery in Hillcrest

Each Thursday morning this study focuses on the Biblical text that will be preached in worship the following Sunday. Rev. Hancock places the text in its historical, social and cultural context, helping group members understand more about the passage in its original setting. He then shares ideas about the significance of the text for today. Group members discuss the biblical text in relation to their own lives and the world around them.
