The Adult Choir is premiering a new Choral Benediction to the congregation of Second Presbyterian Church today. Commissioned in honor of retired organist Betty Marshall for her years of dedication to our church, Rejoice in the Lord Always, by American composer Mark Hayes, will soon become part of our music program’s  permanent repertoire.
Following the singing of our new benediction, the congregation will be asked to sit and enjoy an organ composition performed by Mr. Adam Savacool. This past spring, our organ blower was replaced by a custom-built blower by Zephyr Organ Blower Company of Orrville, Ohio and installed by Nichols & Simpson, Inc., Organ Builders of Little Rock. As a result, all of the pipes in our organ now receive adequate wind and their tone remains stable.
