Children’s Sunday School

Sunday School classes are offered for each age-level, 3 years through fifth grade. At the core of our program are dedicated volunteers and a variety of reformed curriculum resources. Sunday School activities are biblically based and provide opportunities for our children to creatively “wonder” about God’s story and to explore ways to share God’s love as they continue to grow in faith. Each Sunday, elementary classes have music time together as part of the gathering in Bible Village and the preschool classes have music at the end of the hours.

Preschool Division

Toddlers & Twos

Room 7
Teachers:

Bri Slape
Destiny Duguid

Our Toddlers & Twos (18-36 months) will be cuddled, cared for, and read to by two of our Sunday morning Child Care staff. Rather than a formal Sunday School curriculum/program, our little ones will be spiritually nurtured through stories and songs from a variety of resources that include developmentally appropriate Bible story books and Frolic, early childhood resources for church nurseries designed to introduce faith concepts that help the youngest children begin to understand God, themselves, and the world around them.

Threes & Fours

Room 6
Teachers:

Beth Highsmith
Barrett Feltus
Kristen Meador

God Loves Me, based on fifty-two Bible storybooks, is designed to introduce little ones to God’s Word. Through these stories of Scripture, children will know and experience the loving care of our great God and will learn the stories of Jesus. Children will have opportunities to respond to these stories of faith with their eyes and ears—and hands and feet too!

Kindergarten

Room 5
Teachers:

Jamie Gomez
Kathryn McMillian

Dwell/Play, based on thirty-six Bible stories, provides opportunities for our kindergartners to learn more about each other and about the love of Jesus in which we dwell as God’s children. Children will love to listen and play out of the stories of God’s care for us. They will respond to God’s story by living into it, growing closer to God, and feeling more and more a part of God’s family at our church.

Bible Village

Shalom Zone

All first through fifth graders are invited to come to Bible Village on Sunday mornings (9:50-10:50 a.m.) and be part of a Shalom Team, working together to explore and participate in tangible demonstrations of God’s Shalom. We will explore themes throughout the year that will equip our children to “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God.” (Micah 6:8).
