With lots of us traveling and Sunday School taking a break for the summer, here is a free and easy way to grow your faith and share your insights and questions even while on vacation.
Beginning Sunday, June 19th, there will be a basket in the narthex with twenty copies of What’s the Least I Can Believe and Still Be a Christian? written by Martin Thielen. The book is also available for download from Amazon for $10 if you want to do that.  It’s only 156 pages so a pretty easy summer read and we have no due dates, so read at your leisure. Take it on the plane or to the pool this summer. When you finish, put it back in the basket so someone else can join the fun. Feel free to underline and make notes in the margins – it just makes it more fun for the next reader. We have created a Facebook page (2nd Pres Book Basket) where we can make comments and ask questions as we go.
“Many people in the twenty-first century hunger for an expression of Christian faith
that is different from the judgmental and narrow-minded caricatures they see on
television or in the news. Pastor and author Martin Thielen has compiled a list of
ten things Christians need to believe—and ten things they don’t—to “qualify†as
Christians.â€Â Do you agree with him? Tell us on Facebook!
