The Present and Future of Public Education in Little Rock, Sunday Mornings, Oct. 2-30

Sunday School class beginning Sunday, October 2 at 9:50 a.m. in the Great Hall: We all have something to gain when our children are well-educated and valued. Our community is safer, our per capita income is higher, and the general quality of life is enhanced. Good schools perpetuate a cycle of opportunity and prosperity. The recent upheavals in public education in Little Rock have led many to question whether we will truly invest in creating equal opportunities for all children, especially those from poor or minority neighborhoods. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has long championed the idea that every child should have the opportunity to succeed. Under the leadership of several of the most significant voices on public education in our area, this class will seek to help build bridges, challenge assumptions, deepen understanding and promote inclusion.
